Ingrid Hjelmseth saved two penalties as Norway secured a place in
the final of the European Championship with a penalty shoot-out victory
over Denmark.
The keeper saved from Line Roddik and Ingrid Ryland to set up a final with
defending champions Germany
on Sunday.
Norway were ahead in the third minute through defender Marit Christensen.
Mariann Knudsen headed Denmark level in the 87th minute, while Norway's Elise Thorsnes went closest to snatching a winner in extra time.
Norway, who beat Germany in the group stage, made the perfect start when Christensen scrambled the ball over the line from two yards out after keeper Stina Petersen misjudged an inswinging corner.
Teenage striker Ada Hegerberg almost doubled their lead with a 25-yard strike that clipped the outside of the post, while Petersen made amends for her error when she kept out Caroline Hansen as she raced through on goal.
Denmark, whose only victory in the tournament came on penalties against France, failed to find the target with their best chances - Knudsen twice missing from close range.
But she grabbed the equaliser in the dying minutes of normal time when she headed in from six yards after Norway failed to clear a deep free-kick.
Norway had the best chance of extra time but Petersen saved well from Thorsnes after a sweeping move to take the game to penalties.
But Denmark failed to convert their first two penalties and Norway were flawless from the spot, with Trine Ronning hitting the winning penalty.
